The Wine Movement Team

Experienced and Professional Australian Wine Brokers and Wine Makers.

Seamus and Aggie work as a team to promote the Australian Wine industry both locally and abroad.  They are proud of the quality and standard of wines developed in Australia and how much the industry has evolved to lead winemaking globally.

From Wine Movement’s initial conception in 2011 focusing on bulk wine brokerage the business has now grown to include boutique winemaking.  Seamus and Aggie are passionate about furthering the Australian wine industry as well as their passion for good wine and have begun to produce their own hand-crafted premium boutique wines that showcase the high quality of Australian wine.

Seamus O’Fathartaigh – Founder and Director

Service  |  Excellence  |  Diversity

Seamus has spent over 15 years as viticulturist, winemaker and bulk wine broker.  After graduating with a Bachelor of Science he chose to focus on Viticulture and completed his Graduate Diploma in Viticulture with The University of Adelaide.  He has worked with wine companies such as Mountadam, Obsidian Vineyard (NZ), Pernod Ricard, The Wine Group (Australia and US) and Woolworths and has gained considerable experience across the entire wine supply chain from vineyards, wineries and winemakers, to bottling plants and retailers.

Seamus loves and appreciates wines of various styles, origins and varieties, is an Aussie traditionalist at heart and happily settles down for a glass or two of gutsy Shiraz at the end of the day.

In his spare time Seamus likes to keep fit (long distance running is a passion), enjoys fishing and loves to  travel, especially when it involves exploring the world’s wine regions and understanding the cultural elements that make the wines we consume so special.

Aggie Janusz – Project Manager

Passion  |  Wine Science  |  Technical

Aggie’s knowledge of the science behind wine flavour and aroma as well as the taste and balance of wine structure comes from several years in the wine industry. She has completed a PhD and a Post Doctoral Fellowship which were both focused on wine flavour.  Aggie has also completed a Graduate Diploma in Oenology with the University of Adelaide gaining the necessary knowledge and skills to provide advice and guidance for winemaking as well as for pursuing Wine Movement’s own wine brands.  After completing her Post Doctoral Fellowship Aggie spent several years in the Malting and Brewing industry where she worked in R&D and Technical Support before returning back to the wine industry and joining Wine Movement.

Some of Aggie’s favourite varieties include Shiraz, Grenache and Pinot Grigio and she loves learning about new wine styles and novel varieties, especially those new to Australia. A bridge between tradition and science as well as the old and the new, Aggie has all the scientific expertise to bring to Wine Movement’s winemaking and showcase the best of what Australia has to offer.

In her spare time Aggie loves spending time with family and friends, enjoying the stunning South Australian beaches and exploring Australia’s beautiful wine regions.  She is also very passionate about her food and loves experimenting in the kitchen with all things sweet and savoury.
